Surrounded...

We spent five hours in the Detroit airport tonight, while waiting for our connection departure, & I would never have thought I would appreciate having done so, but to see the sky like this, was a dear kindness.  What my camera was able to capture of this magnificence greatly pales in comparison to my own eyes...I am moved & awed that the same God who chose to create this display of shimmering brilliance to close out the day, is the same God who chose to create the intricacies of sight that I might see clear reflections of His glory, here, on the floor of an airport, waiting with 3 dear ones, and that while doing so, I would be inspired, refreshed, and contented by His surrounding abundance.  And I am!

Right at our gate was this black-bottomed, mesmerizing fountain, and as the sky continued to roll out its glory, the water leapt gracefully, fracturing color and creating smiles on every face drawn to watch it's liquid dance!  There's something very powerful about standing & smiling among strangers, especially when you are all smiling about the same compelling thing!    My camera doesn't have what it takes to show you exactly the abundance we were all smiling about, so you'll have to take my word for it.
